We are seeking a skilled Water Network Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient operation of our drinking and recycled water supply networks, ensuring they are operating correctly and in accordance with industry practices and standards.
This role involves working as part of a roster-based Duty Team, providing full operational duties and responsibilities across sewer, water, and recycled water networks. You will be responsible for managing and responding to complex customer issues, often independently, and providing operational support to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and respond to complex customer issues within tight timeframes
">
* Contribute to the efficient operation of drinking and recycled water supply networks
">
* Provide operational support to internal and external stakeholders
">
* Liaise with other authorities on issues associated with drinking and recycled water systems
">
* Monitor and report on the condition of water assets through routine checks and reports
">
* Use technology to issue works and verify completion on our works management system
">
* Facilitate inspections and test activities while maintaining appropriate records
">
* Implement onsite corrective action to maintain and improve water quality
">
* Undertake alarm monitoring and provide support to the Network Operations Centre
">

Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A strong understanding of the maintenance, construction, and operations of sewerage, water, and recycled water systems
Cert III Water Operators or Plumbing qualification is desirable
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
Robust problem-solving skills and ability to operate under pressure
Knowledge of computers and use of database software is essential
Experience using technology such as SCADA and Works Management systems is desirable
