Imaging Queensland (IQ) currently operate 25 quality assured practices from Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Moreton Bay and Central Queensland.
**Key Responsibilities**
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Modality Lead will work with each of the Territory Managers across Imaging Queensland (IQ) driving continuous improvements, leading ongoing staff technical advancement and building close working relationships with all stakeholders. This position will work across all Nuclear Medicine sites on the Sunshine Coast with the need to travel to other locations as required. This role is responsible for managing the Nuclear Medicine Tech team, including rostering responsibility, across multiple business units (Sunshine Coast Radiology, X-Ray & Imaging, Lime Radiology, CitiScan Radiology, and Central Queensland Radiology). We've recently installed a digital PET in our new Noosa practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the ongoing staff technical skill advancement and actively participate in and organise CPD and educational events.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of nuclear medicine and PET procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and workflow.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
- Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and practices.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Hold current Radiation Use Licence and registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine and PET procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
