Jaydo Construction is a privately owned civil construction company specialising in water, sewerage & drainage infrastructure projects.
Our capabilities extend from the design & construct of large scale capital works projects through to smaller scale minor works and all types of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in between.
Due to a strong pipeline of works in hand we are looking to expand our delivery team.
About the role
Working as part of our dynamic, industry-leading team, you will play a key role in supervising civil construction projects across our water infrastructure portfolio.
This role is focused on delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard—ensuring works are completed on time and within budget, in line with Jaydo’s values.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day site activities on your assigned project, reporting to the Project Manager
* Coordinating and overseeing construction works from start to finish
* Planning and implementing construction methodologies suited to each project
* Ensuring projects are adequately resourced with labour, plant, and materials
* Supervising crews and, where required, assisting with hands‑on delivery of works
* Maintaining a strong focus on safety and ensuring OH&S compliance on site
* Managing and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
* Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate site and production records
* Providing regular updates and reporting on site performance
Skills and experience
We are looking for a motivated and capable Supervisor who is keen to build their career in the Victorian water infrastructure sector. You don’t need to come directly from water—if you’ve supervised civil construction projects and have a strong foundation in site delivery, we want to hear from you.
Your skills and experience will include:
* Proven experience in a civil construction supervisory role (water, utilities, roads, rail, or similar)
* Sound understanding of general civil construction practices such as earthworks, excavation, trenching, and underground services
* Exposure to pipeline or utilities work (highly regarded but not essential)
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead crews, manage subcontractors, and drive a positive team culture
* A safety‑first mindset with a solid understanding of OH&S requirements on active construction sites
* Ability to plan, coordinate and deliver works to program while maintaining quality standards
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with clients, engineers, and authorities
* Well organised with strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
* Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the water infrastructure sector
