- Farmhand – Reporting to Orchard Manager
- Farm Maintenance Worker – Reporting to Infrastructure Netting Team
Both roles are offered on a casual basis with the opportunity to become permanent full-time for the right candidate.
About Us
We are a family-owned premium cherry growing business, based in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. We run agri-tourism experiences and supply Australia’s supermarkets, independent grocers, and fresh produce wholesale markets. We also export our produce around the world.
About the role
The roles support the day-to-day operations of the farm and the maintenance of general farming equipment across our orchards in Tarcombe and Mt Helen. The roles assist with general farm, upkeep the farm and orchard maintenance. During the busy period from October to February (peak season), the roles support harvesting operations, which may require additional hours. Availability on weekends is also necessary during this time.
The farm maintenance worker role requires someone comfortable working at heights.
Both roles involve working outdoors.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess practical skills, interpersonal abilities, passion for the outdoors, mechanical mind set skills and a strong work ethic. You should have a genuine appreciation for nature and agriculture, along with a strong commitment to safety and ensuring a secure environment for everyone on the farm.
About you
If you're passionate about agriculture, enjoy working outdoors, and love working collaboratively across functional departments, this could be the role for you.
* You must hold a current driver’s licence.
* Chemical users’ certificate highly regarded
* Forklift Ticket (Highly Regarded)
* Elevated Platform Ticket (Highly Regarded)
* Relevant licences and qualifications pertinent to agriculture would be an advantage
* Sound mechanical knowledge
* Experience working in a broadacre or irrigated crop environment (preferred)
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with team members
* Proven experience in participating OHS practices in farm environments.
* Comfortable working under different seasonal weather conditions
* Working both collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience:
* A demonstrated passion for regenerative agriculture and sustainable practices, with experience in tractor driving and general labour
* A desire to innovatively develop best and safe practices, and farming techniques and processes
* Mechanical aptitude and experience in operating and maintaining a range of modern farming equipment and being a positive member of a work team
