About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Qawha Coffee Roasters and Espresso Bar as a Barista/Manager. In this casual role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service and the highest quality coffee and food offerings. Based in the picturesque town of Victor Harbor, SA 5211, this role offers the chance to work in a thriving local business and contribute to its continued success.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and a range of food items
2. Providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
3. Overseeing the efficient operation of the cafe, including stock management, cash handling, and adherence to health and safety standards
4. Leading and motivating a team of baristas, ensuring they are trained and supported to deliver excellent service
5. Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives to drive business growth
6. Liaising with suppliers and managing orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
2. Strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of coffee trends and brewing techniques
3. Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to create a positive, friendly environment
4. Proven leadership and team management experience
5. Excellent time management and organisational skills
6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
7. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
