About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker. As a valued member of our care team, you will provide high-quality home help services to our aged-care clients.
Job Description:
* General housekeeping and making beds.
* Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
* Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
* Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
You will also be providing our aged-care clients with personal care services such as:
* Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
* Assisting clients to take their medications.
* Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
* Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
* Providing social and emotional support.
* Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
* Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
Requirements:
* A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability is required.
* At least 6 months experience in a similar role that includes personal care, manual handling, hoist training and assistance with medications.
* An open Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, road‑worthy vehicle.
