As our next Social Media & Content Manager, you'll lead with originality, energy, and intent; delivering strategy-driven, brand-aligned, emotionally engaging content that drives real community connection and commercial impact.
This isn't a scheduling gig. This is a storytelling, trend-riding, voice-defining role made for someone who lives and breathes social, owns their creative vision, and wants to build something unforgettable.
Your Mission
Create and execute a multi-platform social media strategy that connects, captivates, and converts, turning Knobby's brand moments into community movement and audience growth and to help Knobby stand out as the most creative, talked-about underwear brand in the world, one killer campaign at a time.
What You'll Be Doing:
Strategy & Planning
* Develop and own Knobby's organic content and channel strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms
* Design short- and long-term content plans aligned with our brand, product, performance media, and growth goals
* Set and track measurable KPIs across reach, engagement, video views, and community growth
* Collaborate across teams (Product, Growth, Ecomm, PR, SEO) to ensure content aligns with key business initiatives
Content Development & Execution
* Ideate, storyboard, script, shoot, and edit social-first video and static content that makes people stop scrolling and take notice
* Manage the end-to-end content production process—from planning and briefing to delivery and publishing
* Maintain and optimise a consistent weekly/monthly content calendar in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external contributors
* Capture behind-the-scenes moments, product development journeys, athlete spotlights, and campaign activations that elevate storytelling
* Work with our ambassadors, content creators, UGC and Knobby staff to create thumb stopping, thought provoking content
* Collaborate across departments to uncover and tell meaningful stories from all areas of the business, including retail, logistics, product, and leadership
* Maintain strong narrative and emotional storytelling, even in fast-paced, real-world environments, ensuring content aligns with Knobby's tone and values.
* Continuously evolve the visual style, tone, and format of Behind the Brand content to keep it fresh, relevant, and authentic
Creative & Production
* Lead and/or attend content shoots and events; scout, brief, and direct photographers, videographers, talent, models and creators
* Produce real, raw and unfiltered content that highlights the Knobby culture and community
* Film and edit long-form, short-form, reel-style, and reactive content using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, Canva- you'll know what you need
* Produce standout content – Film, edit, and repurpose short-form, long-form, and reel-style videos as well as create static posts
Influencer & Creator Partnerships
* Identify, recruit and manage a network of content partners, influencers, creators, athletes and ambassadors with our Partnerships Manager from outreach to final deliverables across relevant touch-points.
* Create clear briefs, content KPIs, and performance metrics for each partnership
* Source and amplify UGC and customer stories that reflect the Knobby vibe and build authenticity
Community Engagement
* Be the voice of Knobby across all platforms, nurturing a two-way dialogue with our audience, this will be together with our Community and Partnerships Manager
* Lead community conversations, advocate for brand values and protect tone, voice and identity at all times
* Monitor and moderate comments, DMs, and tags to spark conversation and grow community and create content opportunities
* Maintain consistent tone of voice and brand identity across every post, story and caption
* Connect with other like minded brands to drive audience growth and engagement
Photoshoots & Content Production
* Attend shoots and events to maximise content opportunities.
* Contribute to planning and creative direction, scout and brief photographers or creatives, and ensure all content aligns with brand and campaign goals
Data & Performance
* Track and analyse platform insights to understand performance across content types, channels, and campaigns
* Use performance data to optimise future strategy, content formats and posting rhythms
* Regularly report on metrics and make data-informed creative decisions
Content Team Leadership & Growth
* As Knobby scales, help grow and shape the content team and function
* Mentor junior creatives and freelancers to maintain a high-performance, collaborative environment
* Contribute to workflow development, team rituals, and creative culture
Future-Proof Brand Creative
* Develop a long-term creative roadmap aligned with digital culture, consumer behaviour, and platform shifts
* Pitch bold new ideas that push boundaries and keep Knobby original
* Stay tapped into creative and cultural trends, bringing partnerships and talent to fuel evolution
Cross Functional Collaboration
* Collaborate across teams, from customer care to eCommerce & campaign managers – to amplify content that supports wider brand and business objectives.
* Contribute to cross-team initiatives that blend creativity and commercial impact.
* Champion creative ideas that support business objectives, not just brand aesthetics
What We're Looking For
You Are:
* A creative strategist who understands content that performs and why
* A visual storyteller with the technical skill to shoot and edit content yourself
* A trend-tracker and quick mover who doesn't just react to trends but helps shape them
* An independent operator who owns your roadmap but collaborates deeply with the team
* A natural communicator with a bold, energetic voice that reflects the Knobby brand
Your Toolkit:
* 5+ years in content marketing, social media, or brand storytelling
* Platform fluency: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
* Strong technical chops in: Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, Final Cut Pro
* Proven experience managing influencer/creator partnerships
* High competency in community management, analytics, and channel growth
* SEO understanding for social content and metadata
* Bonus points: experience integrating social into paid strategy or digital performance channels
* Experience working in or around eCommerce, lifestyle, or fashion brands is a major plus

We are open to candidates outside of the Sunshine Coast with a Hybrid model of work. You will be required to be on location at our very cool HQ in Chevallum as part of your routine.
