Overview
Barker Ryan Stewart is looking for a Planning Manager / Planning Team Lead to join our team in Sydney, the Central Coast, or Newcastle. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of planning and infrastructure projects across locations in NSW and Queensland, in a collaborative planning team with leadership responsibilities to guide and grow the team.
We are a multidisciplinary team of town planners, engineers, surveyors and subdivision certifiers providing expert services to private and government sectors. We value collaboration, integrity and impact, and we are committed to an inclusive, supportive culture where every voice matters.
What You'll Be Part Of
You'll collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including private developers, publicly listed companies, consultants, and all levels of government. Our team has delivered over 2,500 projects with a combined construction value exceeding $5 billion, working with industry leaders who share our commitment to shaping vibrant, sustainable communities.
Responsibilities
* Guide and mentor a team of planners.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, learning and excellence.
* Lead projects that shape urban and regional communities.
* Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and team members.
* Provide a trusted voice in strategic decision-making and project delivery.
* Support business growth by nurturing client relationships and identifying opportunities.
About You – Qualifications
* University Degree in Planning / Town Planning or equivalent, recognised by The Planning Institute of Australia.
* Minimum 10 years of planning experience and/or experience as a Planning Manager/Team Lead within the consulting industry or equivalent.
