Sydney Ancillary Areas Contract or Temporary Please find below the new details on an Accounts Payable position with our client who are a well-regarded content creation firm based on the Lower North Shore, ona 14m maternity leave fixed term contract. This an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable/Receivables Accountant to support a medium-sized and growing media firm in offices on the Lower north Shore on an initial long-dated 14m Fixed Term Contract [FTC]. The ideal applicant will have several years of AP/AR experience and be immediately available to start. NOTE: this position offers good hybrid WFH flexibility, with 3d in-office and 2d WFH. Position Summary: The purpose of this role is to ensure timely processing of all manual and automated payments to both employees and suppliers, management of debtors and support of the finance administration function. Responsibilities: Finance Outcomes for the accounts team: Management of Accounts Payable, Receivable, Bank reconciliation and general accounting within the organisation Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, Board reporting as requested/required. Continuously identify potential areas of improvement and be proactively involved in creating solutions. Liaise with internal and external auditors. Adhere to month end timetable to ensure timely delivery of monthly results to senior management. Be actively involved in projects that directly affect your role and impact the Finance team. Ensuring accurate and effective processing of finance documents Key results areas: Completing task efficiently and in a timely manner Production of monthly financial management pack Production of monthly P & L and balance sheet Forecasting and budgeting Compliance with ATO, FBT, WHS, HR & OH&S Control of debtors and creditors Payroll Co-ordinate/assist implementation of new Software Microsoft Excel competency Ongoing up skilling & self-education Ad hoc projects Desired skills for this role: Great interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively and consultatively in a team environment. Attention to detail in all areas of Administration & Finance with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. The ability to take direction and work independently. Versatility, with an aptitude and interest in working on a range of tasks. Be proficient in XERO, MICROSOFT SUITE The confidence to work independently. The ability to work under pressure to meet tight production deadlines. This is an exceptional well-paid AP/AR Accounts opportunity with good WFH flexibility, on a long-dated 14m Mat Leave FTC contract, paid on a fixed salary.
