The Organization:
Small, policy driven agency which is centrally based. Offering good WFH and flexibility generally.
The Role:
As the EL1 finance manager you will be reporting into the GM Corporate, you'll be managing the operational finances, supported by a shared services arrangement. You'll have the responsibility to deliver the EOM and EOFY financial reporting, and also develop, deliver and report on the budget for the department.
It's a small department with a modest budget which means the role is manageable for a motivated and capable EL1.
Then role will be offered for up 6 months as a labour hire or non-ongoing contract, an will be recruited permanently at the start of 2026.
As the lead finance person you will have autonomy, but there are CPAs in the department in other corporate roles, so you won't entirely on your own.
Your Skills and Experience:
It's expected that you will have completed your CA/CPA qualification and be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline clearance. The client is open to meeting people who have well rounded experience from the private sector or APS.
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of EOM and EOFY statements, as well as budget development and management, is needed for this opportunity.
Strong communication skills, initiative and personal drive are also important to be successful in this role.
