Assignment DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Mining Technology Systems Technician / Installer with expertise in mobile equipment, radio networks, and fleet management systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced mining technology systems.
A key focus will be on integrating mobile radio networks (LTE, WIFI) and fleet management solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and drive continuous improvementInstall, configure, and maintain mining technology systems including mobile radio networks (LTE, WIFI), safety systems, and custom mine specification systems.Integrate and support fleet management systems (e.g., MineStar, Front Runner, Dispatch or similar systems; Terrain or similar systems; CAS).
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and communication systems as required.Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions using strong analytical and problem solving skills.Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams.
Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to enhance system performance and reliability.Prioritise tasks and make informed decisions in a timely manner in a dynamic work environment.Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, including mandatory drug and alcohol screening.Ensure all work complies with Australian Work Rights and regulatory standardsWhether based in Perth or on a FIFO roster, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a team shaping the future of mining technology.Qualifications RequiredProven experience with heavy or light mobile equipment.
Mining industry experience.Familiarity with HME in autonomous operations.
Demonstrated experience with mobile radio network systems (LTE, WIFI).
Experience working with fleet management systems such as MineStar, Modular, or similar dispatch systems.Relevant Trade Certificate and qualifications as a Communications Technician or equivalent trade.Post-trade qualification experience is highly regarded.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in computer operations and relevant applications.Action-oriented, highly organised, and capable of prioritising and making complex decisions under pressure.Must have valid Australian Work Rights.Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screens.
Current Driver's Licence is required.
