Experienced "Concreting" Site Supervisor | Sydney | $150k * A strong pipeline of commercial concrete projects * Supportive leadership and a collaborative site culture * Competitive salary Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Concreting Site Supervisor to manage and oversee daily construction activities on site. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and productivity. The role involves supervising concreting crews, coordinating works, and liaising with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. Saturday work is a standard requirement of this position. Key Duties & Responsibilities The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the effective coordination and supervision of site works, including: * Directly supervising all construction activities on site * Planning, sequencing, and communicating daily tasks and priorities to site teams * Actively resolving site issues and providing practical problem-solving support * Creating and adjusting short-range programs to align with project goals and site conditions * Procuring materials, equipment, and labour to meet daily tasks and project milestones * Managing labour resources, including engaging subcontractors in consultation with the Operations Manager and Clients Calendar (Neo Intelligence) * Proactively communicating labour and equipment requirements to management * Setting out works, ensuring correct concrete levels during pours and accurate formwork placement and bracing * Selecting appropriate concrete mixes and determining correct placement methods to achieve specified finishes * Completing detailed daily site diaries, including labour hours, weather conditions, subcontractors, activities, delays, variations, and deliveries * Maintaining photographic records of reinforcement prior to concrete pours, site issues, and daily progress * Verifying deliveries against dockets and submitting receipts, dockets, and invoices to the office * Attending subcontractor coordination meetings and site safety walks and reporting actions to management * Conducting daily pre-start meetings and regular toolbox talks * Carrying out daily safety inspections and equipment maintenance checks * Monitoring and proactively reordering sundries and equipment * Ensuring all workers and client subcontractors are site inducted and PPE compliant * Managing labour efficiently to minimise overtime and notifying management in advance when overtime is required * Participating in safety planning and risk assessments with management and client representatives * Completing all Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) documentation, including pre-pour checklists * Willingly performing trade labour tasks when required, including formwork, steel fixing, reinforcement, and concrete placement Skills & Experience - Must Have * Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or leading hand within the construction industry * Strong hands-on experience in formwork, steelwork, and reinforcement (mandatory) * Ability to read and interpret construction plans, sequencing, and technical drawings * Thorough knowledge of WHS legislation and on-site safety procedures * Demonstrated experience setting out concrete works with an understanding of tolerances and finish specifications * Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating daily site activities * Strong capability in labour, equipment, and resource planning to maximise productivity * Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes, including material verification and photographic documentation * Software Proficiency: - Competence in construction management and communication software such as Procore, Aconex, Hammertech, Neo Intelligence, Hilti On-Track, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and Premier.
