* Office location – Parramatta, hybrid working supported
* Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $113,574 to $125,720 + super & leave loading

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment & Water (DCCEEW) are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Officer to support the delivery of key initiatives within our IT Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities
* Prepare project documentation including reports, schedules, and communications
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment
* Track progress against milestones and escalate issues as needed
* Support governance processes including risk and issue management
* Manage budget tracking and procurement support activities

About You

* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in project coordination or administration
* Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2) is desirable
* Experience with systems such as MyWorkZone, OneProcure, and CS Connect is desirable

Essential requirements

* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or significant experience in projects involving the design, development and procurement of IT Infrastructure, systems or services
