We are seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Test Analyst to work within our large utilities client's ICT Delivery Team.
This is a contract role running through to 30 June 2027, with an immediate start required. Reporting to the Release and Test Lead, this role will support the testing of enterprise software solutions and digital technology platforms across OT, Cloud, and on-premise environments as the organisation transitions to new ways of working.
Function & Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, including a Master Test Plan covering scope, approach, environments, test phases (system, integration, regression, UAT, BVT), entry/exit criteria, and risk mitigation.
* Lead system, integration, regression, UAT, and Business Verification Testing to ensure all business-critical workflows perform as expected prior to and following migration activities.
* Prepare detailed test reporting including daily/weekly status updates, defect summaries, test completion reports, and executive-level summaries to support governance and release-readiness decisions.
* Coordinate defect management — triaging, tracking, prioritising, and driving remediation with technical teams, including management of the DevOps backlog and associated testing items.
* Review solution designs, architectural documentation, business workflows, and technical specifications to identify testing impacts and ensure appropriate coverage.
* Ensure testing requirements are integrated into delivery schedules, migration plans, change management processes, and release planning.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, SMEs, business representatives, and external vendors to proactively manage testing issues, risks, and dependencies across all phases.
* Deliver clear, evidence-based outcome summaries to support stage-gates, migration readiness, production release decisions, and operational handover.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Test Analyst, with demonstrated senior-level capability
* Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent test and defect management platforms
* Testing experience across a range of platforms and technologies, including cloud-based applications, using appropriate tools (RTMs, test cases, defect management, etc.)
* Experience working within both Waterfall and Agile/DevOps project delivery environments
* Experience with vendor management for testing and quality outcomes
* Ability to advise on and support requirements traceability across projects and releases
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
* Experience implementing automation frameworks is preferred but not essential
