The Role
The Executive assistant to the Commandant of ADFA will play an important representative role and be the first point of contact for the ADFA Executive Office. The Executive Assistant provides high-level executive and coordination support, exercising sound judgement, managing complex information flows, and ensuring the effective operation of the Executive Office.
You will be a self-starter who can be entrusted to use good judgement in organising the ADFA Commandants workload. And will be resilient to change and can cope effectively in high pressure situations.
About our Team
Under the leadership of the Commandant Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) the APS4 Executive Assistant sits within the ADFA Executive team. ADFA overseas the management and training of 1200 Trainee Officers from Navy, Air Force and Army undertaking an integrated military training and academic study program. This role requires engagement with internal and external stakeholders that are dispersed throughout the ADFA precinct and the wider Defence Organisation. You will be working with talented colleagues, and be guided and supported to ensure you always have everything you need to succeed.

* Highly developed administration skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
* Ability to problem solve, exercise judgment, work with discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
* You will have proven experience as an Executive Assistant or be an Administration extraordinaire. With highly developed diary and email management skills.

Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Baseline Vetting level.
