A major bank is seeking a Senior SQL DBA to join their team on an initial 6 month contract that may extend, 2 days a week in the office.
A deep understanding of the Microsoft Technology stack is required to deliver the banks SQL-server Database Platform Service.
Responsibilities:
* Senior DBA equired to interface with the end-user community and upper management.
* Participate in enterprise-level critical systems operational support, SQL projects and consultancy to provide database solutions and services to the business, application, and peer technical teams
* Configuration and administration of SQL server components (SSDB, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
* Database Service performance reporting
* HA
* Provide advanced database support and mentoring to Level-1/2 DBAs
* Database Scripting and Automation
* Database Service performance reporting
* After hour on-call support on major incidents
Key Skills / Experience:
* Demonstrable advanced experience with MSSQL /2016/2019/ 2022
* Thorough hands-on experience with High Availability deployment of SSDB, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and ongoing performance optimisation
* Enterprise level L3 support in large complex environments
* Extensive experience in Troubleshooting, Problem solving, and Process SimplificationAutomation using DevOps tools (e.g., bitbucket, terraform etc)
* Power BI
* Financial Services- highly desirable
