ROLE OVERVIEW
We're seeking a Production Coordinator to join the commercials team in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As Production Coordinator, you will be the backbone of the production process, ensuring projects run smoothly, deadlines are met, and communication flows effectively across teams and clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support producers and supervisors in the day-to-day running of commercial projects, ensuring schedules and deadlines are maintained
- Coordinate between artists, production staff, and clients to keep workflows efficient and communication clear
- Manage and update production tracking systems (ShotGrid or equivalent), keeping accurate records of tasks, progress, and priorities
- Organize and lead production meetings, reviews, and dailies, ensuring follow-ups are tracked and actioned
- Flag potential risks or delays early, working with production leadership to resolve challenges proactively
- Assist with resourcing and scheduling to align artist availability with project needs
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Production Coordinator or Assistant in a VFX, animation, or post-production environment (commercials experience highly regarded)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work across creative and technical teams
- Proficiency in ShotGrid or similar production tracking tools
- High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
- Must have the right to work in Australia
BONUS SKILLS
- Previous experience in commercials or short-form projects
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost tracking
- Interest in creative industries and an understanding of VFX workflows
