The Opportunity
Our Quality & Operations team support Ashurst Risk Advisory, ensuring we operate at the highest standard for our clients, both external and internal. We are an interactive, fast paced team working as a trusted advisor to the Risk Advisory partners and staff. As a key member of this team, the Specialist, Resource Management partners closely with business leaders and engagement partners to ensure the right people are assigned to the right projects at the right time. This role supports operational excellence, improves utilisation and enhances employee and client experience.
* Manage end to end resource requests across our Risk Advisory pods, balancing business priorities, capability needs and consultant development
* Run a consistent intake process for resource requests from sales and delivery, validate role definitions and timing, and align staffing to portfolio priorities, client commitments, and production target goals
* Match individuals to engagement resource requests based on skills, experience, availability, location, and conflict constraints. Balance speed with quality of fit, manage backfills, negotiate start dates, and coordinate multi-project workloads
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Partners and Directors to understand project requirements, staff needs and issues on performance
* Act as a trusted advisor to engagement teams and staff, conduct regular wellbeing check ins
* Maintain accurate resourcing data in our workforce management systems, ART Leave, availability and exception management
* Demand forecasting and capacity planning
* Produce weekly reports on forecast accuracy, utilisation and variance analysis

About you
* Prior relevant work experience in resource management or workforce planning, ideally gained in a professional services or consulting environment
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Analytical skills along with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills to assist with weekly variance reporting
* Can do attitude and willingness to get things done and be hands on
