We are looking for an energetic, charismatic person to lead our fast paced, tight knit team in Cardiff, Newcastle. This person would have a proven track record within the fencing and construction industry including a sound business knowledge of fence build and installation. Additionally, they would possess good attention to detail, the ability to problem solve quickly, and be able to ensure the office delivers a superior quality service to their customers.
We value our reputation, repeat referrals from both our Residential & Commercial clients. The successful applicant would have to be able to liaise effectively with a broad range of clients to strengthen existing relationships and help create new ones.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Estimators, Installers and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the Newcastle office.
* Engage and consult with the Managing Director and senior management team in Sydney as well as Residential & Commercial Clients, Project Managers, Site Foreman and suppliers.
* Programming installations as well as managing installer teams and the scheduling of work.
* Work within Company guidelines and standing operating procedures (SOPs).
* Oversea as well as when required, the allocation of job leads, allocation of fabrication and welding work. Ordering of materials as well as ensuring materials are delivered to site.
* Ensuring all jobs are completed to the client's satisfaction and subsequent timely invoicing
* Ensure adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost & safety requirements.
* Be able to work autonomously managing the Newcastle Office as well as working closely with the Managing Director.
* Complete job handover from Operations Department to Accounts Receivable daily.
* Oversee scheduling, job profitability, labour management, invoice approval, billing, collections, inspections and client relations.
* Negotiate, review and finalise subcontractor payments within budget constraints.
To Be Considered for this Position you MUST:
* Have a minimum 2 years Building and Construction Industry background, preferably within Fencing Industry.
* Possess competent Computer Skills namely the Microsoft suite
* Have a current White Card and Drivers Licence .
* Be pro-active, well organised with good people and negotiation skills.
* Able to quickly assess problems & communicate solutions effectively.
* Willing to go the extra mile.
