Reporting to the General Manager (GM) Processing, you will serve as the trusted advisor to the GM and leadership team, offering strategic advice, lead the business planning process for the management team and ensuring corporate compliance to maximise the commercial value of site operations while effectively managing risks and priorities.
In this dynamic role, you will also lead and develop a capable site-based team, delivering a broad range of commercial and general services to support operational success.
Additionally, you will act as the key liaison between the site and Corporate Headquarters, ensuring alignment and collaboration to achieve site priorities.This is your opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of Roy Hill's world-class operations.
Duties Support the delivery of the medium-term plant (MTP) at optimal cost and risk reduction, spanning daily to 4-month activity horizons Identify and implement cost and productivity improvements through benchmarking and collaboration with corporate teams Ensure governance compliance and act as the key liaison between the site General Manager and Corporate support functions Support the GM's annual business planning activities, and prepare and manage the operations' budget Support the effective management of performance and cost for critical contracts and prioritise contract and procurement activities according to the MTP Establish and report on business unit commercial KPIs to inform and guide GM decision-making Deliver the Processing department productivity program and driving efficiencies and value-based decisions Develop the continuous improvement program at the PSA and coaching supervisors/superintendents on owning and delivering on improvements through their teams Manage the Processing administration team Skills and experience Experience in the development and control of large budgets and expenditure The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and best practice Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Experience leading a team of professionals to deliver against set targets Experience in operations within the resource sector in leadership roles on an operating site A great communicator that is able to influence outcomes across the Processing team A leader that has a bias to action and ability to build and deliver on the improvement plan through the wider Processing leadership team Mine Facilities Modern, comfortable camp accommodation High quality gourmet food options (vegan, gluten free and healthy options) Large fully equipped gym facility, as well as a gym specifically for females Heated outdoor swimming pool Beach Volleyball court and Golf simulators Village shop and extensive supporting amenities SWIFT in-room entertainment with comprehensive content and own-device casting capability Active social club with community events and activities for employees Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family About Roy Hill Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
