The Parklife Metro consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney's most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport line.
Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild—is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. This includes six new stations, a stabling and maintenance facility, rail systems, and a fleet of driverless trains.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced CPS MEP Manager who will be reporting to the Senior CPS Manager.
The MEP manager is responsible for the management of the MEP team including mentoring, scheduling their activities, and leading coordination meetings, recruitment and performance management of the team members.
You will be directing the MEP site team through all construction phases of a project including contractor coordination and all aspects of site management.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Construction Team by managing Design TAO interfaces, technical queries for installation & maintenance of MEP systems across the SSTOM Project
* Support the Construction Team by coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that MEP design is coordinated, constructible and maintains compliance to project requirements and industry standards.
* Support the Construction Team and Commercial Team with relevant technical and engineering inputs for commercial correspondence to/from The Principal, OpCo, the IC, WSACo, the Design Consultants
* Develop and implement CPS MEP project plans, schedules, monitoring tools, budgets and forecasts.
* Conduct site inspections as required to gain full understanding of current and upcoming challenges.
* Support the Construction Team to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards related to MEP systems.
* Manage incoming MEP CRFIs directly or via the WB CPS MEP team to eliminate unnecessary incurring of cost for design consultants' advice.
* Support the Construction Team by collaborating with the construction team and other departments, such as quality assurance, digital engineering, SESA, Siemens, facilities, and sustainability, to ensure that technical challenges on MEP systems are integrated with other building systems and meet organisational goals
About You
* Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 10+ years of experience across MEP system design, coordination, installation, and maintenance
* Strong understanding of MEP system design principles and strategies.
* Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and standards related to MEP systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Experience managing contractors and subcontractors through delivery/construction phase.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in MEP system design, installation, and maintenance.
