Job responsibilities
Qualifications
* GDC Approved Qualification in Dental Technology (OND, BSc or equivalent)
* Registered with the GDC as a Dental Technician
Experience
* Evidence of continuing professional development in relation to this post
* Experience of general dental laboratory procedures
Knowledge and Awareness
* Understanding of patient confidentiality
* Awareness of own limitations
* Theoretical and practical knowledge of a range of dental and orthodontic procedures e.g. tooth eruption, morphology and clinical charting, obstructive sleep apnea
* Cross infection control
* Academic and working scientific knowledge of dental and maxillofacial materials
Skills and Abilities
* Highly developed physical skills and a high degree of precision and dexterity in construction of appliances
* Able to work as part of a team
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; and listening skills
* Ability to co-ordinate a variety of duties that run simultaneously
