Region:
Lead and coordinate responses within schools and Child and Family Learning Centres (CFLCs) to support children, young people, and their families impacted by child sexual abuse, exploitation, or harmful sexual behaviour. Ensure responses align with the Department's safeguarding approach, providing high-level advice and coordination to schools, CFLCs, families, and departmental leadership, in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
This department is dedicated to children, young people, and their communities, aiming to ensure every child in Tasmania is known, safe, well, and learning. The child remains at the centre of our work.
Duties
Lead and coordinate responses within schools and CFLCs to support children, young people, and their families impacted by harmful sexual behaviours and abuse, ensuring alignment with safeguarding policies and legislation.
Period of Appointment
ASAP for up to 3 years.
Note: The selection process may be used to fill subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies for twelve months from the publication date, in accordance with Employment Direction 1.
Hours per fortnight
73.5 hours
* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Employment status)
* Qualifications in social work, psychology, clinical psychology, or teaching
* Experience or understanding of safeguarding children and managing incidents of harmful sexual behaviour and abuse is advantageous
* Current Driver's Licence
