The Role We are currently seeking an Associate/ Senior Associate to join our Planning, Environment & Climate Change team in Sydney working with Harshane Kahagalle & Joanna Ling. The role combines an interesting and wide-ranging mix of litigation, advisory and transactional work including advice on all aspects of planning law, project approvals, property development, heritage and the compulsory acquisition of land as well as a broad range of environmental matters such as contaminated land, pollution and licensing.

Who we are looking for The ideal candidate should have excellent academic results and will be eager to apply their skills to learn in this specialised and technical field of law. To be successful in this position, you will need:
Minimum 3 years of experience working the environment, planning and climate change space within a reputable law firm
A keen interest in a variety of litigious, transactional and advisory work
Eager to work within a growing firm and practice
The ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously
Strong collaboration skills to work with the wider firm and Partners
To be enthusiastic, organised and proactive
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
