Description The opportunity Supporting the Unitywater program the Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for driving commercial strategy, optimising revenue opportunities, mitigating program risk, and managing key contracts and stakeholder relationships. This role involves commercial planning, financial oversight of program, negotiating major contracts, driving program performance and ensuring profitable business growth in alignment with organisational goals. The Senior Commercial Manager will have leadership and accountability of the Pre Contracts and Commercial Delivery on the Program (and others as required), acting as the initial escalation point for commercial, contract, legal, procurement, financial, risk, governance and project requirements for the Program. The successful applicant will also be involved with duties as listed below: What you’ll do Leading the Program team and providing mentoring and coaching on Commercial elements in order to upskill, develop and expand the commercial capability within the allocated program of work Work collaboratively with Unitywater stakeholders, the PSP (Design Partners), the other Program Partners and any other relevant stakeholders to achieve the best solutions and outcomes for BBT. Support the drafting of internal and external agreements such as Confidentiality Agreements etc Provide guidance and direction to the team on the delivery of contract and project work portfolios through multiple contractors, including decisions on scoping, allocations of work, contract management, project management, strategy negotiations, dispute resolution and performance management. Improve the Risk & Opportunity delivery for Water by way of system updates and training/coaching where appropriate. Establish and manage the Document Control Services function for the program including enabling the effective management of controlled project documents within Ineight Teambinder. A minimum of five years’ experience in the construction industry (or related areas), and five years in a related role would be beneficial Demonstrable and successful commercial management experience / capability in a similar business environment with at least 10 years’ experience gained at this level. Background in the successful negotiation of forms of contract with an acceptable risk profile in accordance with policies and procedures; Background in leadership of complex and comprehensive commercial teams Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across multiple stakeholders.
