Job Title
We are seeking a Research Associate to contribute to two Australian Research Council projects focused on environmental sustainability of agricultural systems.
The position is part of a research group dedicated to decision science and social-ecological systems research, aiming to empower communities and governments to make more sustainable choices about agricultural production and food consumption.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work across the fields of biodiversity conservation, decision science, complex systems science, sustainable production and consumption, human nutrition and behavioural sciences.
* Proactively engage with project teams;
* Compile literature and maintain databases of scholarly articles;
* Lead dataset development and data visualization;
* Assist in conducting interviews with farmers in regional areas;
* Contribute to data collection, analysis, conference presentations, and publication of scientific reports and scholarly articles;
* Attend working groups and committees meetings;
* Provide assistance to other projects as required;
* Implement University policy within the Faculty regarding equitable access to education and workplace health and safety.
To ensure job flexibility, the successful appointee may be required to perform any other duties as nominated by the University consistent with the relevant classification descriptors. Staff undertaking new duties will receive training, and participation in job rotation or multiskilling in consultation with their supervisor will also be considered.
