The Opportunity
A State Government Department is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Maintenance Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing efficient, high-quality customer service to customers and stakeholders
* Managing enquiries and supporting service delivery within a KPI-driven environment
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners, local suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders
* Ensuring timely and effective coordination of services and information
* Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation, de-escalation, and dispute resolution
* Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and system records
* Updating and managing information systems with a high level of accuracy
* Undertaking general administrative duties as required
* Actively contributing to team culture, collaboration, and internal innovation initiatives
About You
You are a reliable and customer-focused administration professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and contributing to a positive team culture.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in customer support or customer service roles
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment
* High attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation and records
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* An understanding of leadership as an individual contributor, aligned with the Queensland Government Leadership Competencies Framework (highly regarded)
