This Foundry Quality Engineer is responsible for continual improvement of foundry quality processes to positively impact safety, quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
* Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
* Creation of relevant MSQS logs in Jira detailing individual quality issues
* Liaising with Machine Shop Quality representatives to resolve Foundry related Quality issues
* Supporting external and internal quality investigations
* Issuing daily reject email to Foundry stakeholders
* Submission of Engineering concession requests as required to resolve Quality issues
* Submission of PEARs as required to resolve Quality issues
* Updating of the OTSR log
* Participation in Foundry internal Quality audits
Job Knowledge and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Materials Science, metallurgy or a related field. Knowledge and experience in heat treatment, melting and pouring, sand systems, laboratory testing, OTSR and NDT
* Pragmatic approach to procedural writing where departmental constraints are taken into account when managing meetings with key individuals.
* There will be an expectation that a large portion of the role will be actively interacting with teams at the shop floor level which will include stairs and a moderate amount of walking.
