Powerlink is owned by the Government of Queensland which operates the HV electricity transmission infrastructure in Queensland. Boasting long standing relationships across the State and with interstate Local Government Sectors, Powerlink provides specialist compliance management services for customer commercial matters & ensures commercial connection and access agreements are in line with government regulations. Their continued growth and ongoing success has created an opportunity for an Account Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Manager, Customer Relations, your primary responsibility is to develop key relationships within a defined portfolio of established accounts, with the view to ensure client and contractual obligations are being met.
**Key Accountabilities;**
- Implement contemporary customer account management strategies and plans,
- Develop strong working relationships with all direct connect customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and assure a positive customer experience.
- Facilitate delivery of customer works by ensuring the Customer Relations team works effectively across the business to deliver timely and cost-effective customer valued outcomes.
- Develop contract negotiation strategies and provide contractual dispute support to the BD team
- Ensure Powerlink is compliant will regulations under the National Electricity Rules and other applicable legislation and codes relating to direct connect customers
- Ensure appropriate advocacy and influence for key regulatory consultations through ENA, AEMC, AER and AEMO, to support activities associated with direct connect customers
- Prepare Board memos, internal briefings and engage and influence at Powerlink senior leadership levels to support the BD group and its functions.
**Required Experience;**
- Demonstrated experience managing key customer relationships, commercial contracts, and working with internal stakeholders to deliver value for customers and the business.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering business initiatives and commercial customer outcomes in a large matrix organisation
- Recognised experience in the Australian electricity sector with well-developed understanding of the Regulatory environment and the National Electricity Rules;
- Significant demonstrated experience advocating, developing, driving and delivering strategies in an internal and external business environment.
- Significant demonstrated experience in preparing and communicating high-quality, skilled board and external communications.
