Overview
The position of Senior Pharmacy Technician will contribute to patient care by providing advanced clinical support pharmaceutical services delegated by and under the supervision of a Clinical Lead Pharmacist.
The role undertakes a range of activities to assist in the provision of an efficient and effective pharmacy service to the patients and families of CHQ.
Responsibilities
Provide a defined range of clinical support tasks for patients relating to components of the medicines management cycle, in line with professional standards with appropriate training, supervision and competency assessments.
Assist with medication orders and prescription preparation including iPharmacy dispensing and use of cancer care and other compounding electronic systems as well as management of electronic medication profiles and other clinical documentation from admission to discharge, in compliance with the Guidelines for Good Dispensing and PBS business rules.
