We're looking for a **Youth Mentor** to join our **Alternate Education Program** at **Intercept**, based in **Caboolture.**Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges, build confidence, and stay engaged in their learning journey?
You'll work directly with young people aged 14-17, many of whom are at risk of disengagement, disability, or have faced barriers in traditional education.
**_ Location: Intercept Community Services, Caboolture_**
**_Casual Role:_**
- Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

**About The Role**:
As a Youth Mentor, you will:
- Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring in a structured learning environment.
- Support students to build interpersonal skills, confidence, and independence.
- Serve as a positive role model through consistent engagement and encouragement.
- Assist with student participation and classroom support, in partnership with facilitators.
- Foster a calm, respectful and safe learning environment.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to promote wellbeing and educational outcomes
**About You**:
You'll be a great fit for this role if you:
- Have experience in youth work, mentoring, education, or community services
- Are confident engaging with young people from diverse and complex backgrounds
- Bring a calm, patient and strengths-based approach to your work
- Thrive in a collaborative team and school-like environment
- Communicate clearly and know how to build trust with young people
**Requirements**:
- Blue Card (Working with Children)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid QLD Driver's Licence
**Desirable**:
- Experience working with young people with disability or neurodivergence
- Tertiary qualifications in youth work, community services or education
