Overview
First Nations - Head of Media and Communications is a 12-month fixed-term, identified role based at Head Office (Darwin/Melbourne) with some travel.

Not For Profit. This Key Employer provides a range of education, community development, cultural, health and well being programs to Indigenous children, pre-birth to youth and families throughout the Northern Territory, with offices in Darwin, Alice Springs and Melbourne.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the CEO and a senior leadership team while managing a small team, driving communications projects and developing marketing and media materials for use in reporting, conferences, publications and digital media channels.
* Manage, review and lead ongoing marketing, branding and media campaigns, including communications assets, materials and outputs (website, microsites, digital channels and social media platforms).
* Identify new marketing, media and branding opportunities; deliver, implement and review campaigns aligned with strategic priorities and amplifying First Nations voices while embedding First Nations knowledge in key systems (education) and delivering storytelling projects.
* Project management, budgeting and reporting; liaising with key stakeholders.
Requirements / Background
* Relevant tertiary qualifications ideally in media, communications and/or digital media communications or graphic design.
* Current relevant experience in medium/large-scale communications environments.
* Stable employment history with not-for-profit sector experience preferred.
* Experience managing websites and content management platforms, including social media.
* Experience with Salesforce.
* Graphic design skills and experience.
* Genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families, children, the vulnerable and disadvantaged.
