Role
Classroom teachers are classified into two salary ranges (Range 1 and Range 2). The primary focus is on planning, preparing and teaching programmes to achieve specified student outcomes, with ongoing critical reflection and inquiry to improve practice.
* Range 2: Significant role in improving student performance, contributing to strategic plans and school policy development; mentor/coach teachers; supervise student teachers; advise on curriculum and data‐driven learning approaches.
* Range 1: Further develop teaching competencies under structured support; implement classroom management, subject content and teaching practice; assist in policy development and co‐curriculum activities; supervise student teachers as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of student groups and individual students.
* Contribute to development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum or other programmes.
* Undertake classroom teaching‐related and organisational duties as directed by the Principal.
* Participate in parental meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
* Perform supervisory duties.
Who May Apply
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, and qualified to teach the specified curriculum areas.

Qualification Requirements
* Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* If completed an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program or course of study on or after 1 January 2024, must have satisfactorily completed an accredited initial teacher education program approved by an Australian State or Territory Teacher Regulatory Authority.
* If graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate satisfaction of the LANTITE requirements.

* Probationary period may apply during the first year of employment.
