About the Role:The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating procurement activities across the Group to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and reliable sourcing of goods and services supporting global operations. The role includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, ensuring procurement activities comply with Group policies, and coordinating supply and delivery requirements with internal stakeholders and international entities to support operational and strategic objectives across the Group.
Responsibilities: ProcurementManage end-to-end procurement activities across Group entities, including sourcing, tendering, negotiations, and purchasing to support manufacturing, operations, and corporate requirements.Ensure procurement activities comply with Group policies, relevant laws, regulations and approval frameworks while maintaining accurate records and supporting ERP procurement processes and reporting.Support budgeting, cost control, and working capital improvements through pricing negotiations, procurement planning, and supplier consolidation initiatives.Support procurement requirements for new projects, operational expansions, and international deployments while driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and efficiency.Supplier ManagementIdentify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers capable of supporting global operations while maintaining strong supplier relationships and negotiating commercial terms.Monitor and improve supplier performance, including quality, pricing, delivery reliability, and service levels, and implement corrective actions where required.Develop alternative sourcing strategies and support supplier compliance with ethical, governance, and operational standards.Supply Chain CoordinationCoordinate procurement delivery schedules with manufacturing, operations, and project teams, including logistics and freight coordination, to ensure continuity of supply.Support international subsidiaries and act as procurement liaison across Group entities to align procurement and supply activities.Support inventory and procurement planning to balance operational requirements with working capital efficiency and minimise supply disruptions.Assist in resolving urgent or unexpected supply issues impacting production or customer operations.Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier, logistics, and geopolitical risks, and support business continuity initiatives across the Group.Facilitate standardisation and knowledge sharing of supply chain and procurement practices across entities to improve operational efficiency and resilience.Foster collaboration across departments, including operations, finance, and production, to ensure seamless procurement processes including forecasted material needs and inventory levels.Assist with the management of the Engineering Bill of Materials and change control knowledge
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.Experience working in a multinational equipment manufacturing company or a chemical manufacturing environment, with exposure to complex global supply chains and industrial procurement processes of import/export of goods (highly preferred).Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost reduction.Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Dynamics).Certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is an advantage.Fluent in Mandarin or another Southeast Asian language (highly preferred).Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, NCRs, SLAs, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices (is a plus)
