An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Access & Intake team at Portland District Health.
You are responsible for being the designated point of contact for all potential patients, their families and/or representatives, current patients and staff by providing a responsive service to move them through the pre[1]engagement (access and intake) process for Primary Care Services at Portland District Health (PDH). You will provide quality customer service for patients, including answering telephone enquiries and performing a coordinated intake process that identifies client support needs including co-designing supports, development of appointments and the collation of patient specific data. You instil confidence in potential clients and stakeholders to choose PDH as their provider of choice. You contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Primary Care Services Division, Portland District Health. You contribute to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the division of Primary Care Services. There will be the opportunity for ongoing leave relief and the possibility of ongoing contracted hours.
About you:
* A combination of relevant training and experience in customer service and/or administrative support deemed to be appropriate to the department
* Possession of a Certificate 111 Business (Administration) or equivalent qualification
* Experience in a fast paced office environment, the ability to be flexible, demonstrate a willingness to learn, attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
* Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service skills and an ability to effectively engage with a wide diversity of people
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently when required but also to work cooperatively with others as part of a team
