This is a permanent part-time (0.5FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026.

Located 80km south of Perth in the City of Mandurah, Greenfields Primary School (PS) is an independent public school. The Role

Join our team as a Gardener/Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment. As a key member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for both students and staff. From overseeing the turf areas, garden beds and shrubs to managing hard landscaping features such as courts and paving, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.

Your commitment to maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in good condition will be important in promoting a positive culture within the school. You will be required to perform minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with the Department's policies and guidelines.

In this role you will provide advice and support to the Facilities Coordinator and Manager of Corporate Services on school grounds and maintenance.

The successful applicant should display effective communication skills, be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff and external stakeholders, work unsupervised, identify and recognise work that is required to be completed, be well organised, have attention to detail, a positive outlook and be a team player.

Eligibility

* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
