Forensic Intervention Specialist
Make a meaningful impact in the field of forensic intervention as part of our multidisciplinary team. We are seeking experienced professionals in psychology, social work, mental health nursing, occupational therapy, counselling or psychotherapy to deliver evidence-based, best-practice forensic intervention services in a supportive correctional environment.
As a Forensic Intervention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to build on your existing expertise, working within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model to deliver comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, treatment interventions, and pre-treatment planning reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering individualised services to clients, including comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, and treatment interventions
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop person-centred rehabilitation pathways
• Providing education and training to colleagues and other stakeholders on forensic intervention practices and techniques
• Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to forensic intervention services
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
Eligibility requirements include:
• General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
• Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
• A master's degree in psychotherapy and registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
• A master's degree in counselling and membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include national police checks and misconduct screening.
