This is for a Permanent Full Time or Fixed Term Full Time appointment with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
We are seeking suitable applications for a highly capable and values-driven nursing professional to join our dynamic Theatre team at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) as part of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG).
OPH provides a range of surgical services and is undergoing expansion across facilities including Birth Suites, Inpatient wards, Neonatal Unit, High Dependency Unit and two additional theatres.
OPH Theatre operates Monday to Friday 07:30 - 18:00. Emergency Obstetric theatre cover is provided 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities
* Manage human and material resources within a defined area in consultation with the Nurse Manager to support clinical standards and quality of care.
* Uphold and operate within the organisation values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity.
* Practise as a Clinical Nurse-Area Manager under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s) in line with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart.
* Provide day-to-day administrative support including rostering, ordering equipment and consumables, and supporting nursing and medical workforce.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of multiple surgical theatre specialties and ability to support a dynamic clinical workforce.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of two (2) years Theatre Nurse experience and experience in a Theatre Area Manager, Equipment Nurse or BASE Nurse with no APHRA restrictions.
* Comprehensive understanding of Human Resource Management, rostering, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
* Extensive knowledge of multiple surgical theatre specialties and ability to support a dynamic clinical workforce.
* Obstetric and PACU experience not essential; upskilling will be provided if not.
* Participation in an on-call roster is mandatory, including weekends, public holidays and weeknights.
* Applicants' accommodation distance must be within a 30-minute radius of the hospital to accommodate obstetric theatre service requirements.

* Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is essential for permanent positions; entitlement to live and work in Australia for the contract period is required for fixed-term appointments.
* WA Health policies require criminal records screening, integrity checking, and may require a Working with Children check and pre-employment health assessment. Referees may be contacted to comment on integrity and ethical behavior.
* Role may be used to fill other similar vacancies in the health service for up to 12 months from endorsement date.
