This Is a Senior Leadership Role; Not “Senior Clinician Plus Extra Tasks.”
This position is designed for an experienced paediatric OT who wants real leadership authority, autonomy, and structural support, not informal responsibility.

Your Leadership Authority Includes
You will hold formal leadership responsibility for the team, including:
* Clinical leadership of our paediatric OT team
* Oversight of supervision frameworks, clinical quality and governance
* Input into recruitment, onboarding and clinician development
* Authority to influence service delivery models and internal systems
* Active involvement in workflow design, sustainability and team culture
* Direct collaboration with the Director on business and clinical strategy
You will not be a “buffer” between clinical team and leadership. You will be part of the leadership structure.
Role Structure & Workflow Balance
This role includes a balanced allocation of time in the schedule to allow for clinical work and team leadership.
Approximate split:
* 40–50% clinical work
o Approximately 12-15 1:1 client sessions/week
* 50–60% leadership, supervision, systems and service development
o Weekly 1-hour supervision for new graduate clinicians
o Fortnightly-monthly 1-hour supervision for established clinicians
o Project work collaborating with the Director as required
o Establish and deliver CPD and team training rhythm in response to team growth
o Development of resources and frameworks to support team rhythms and growth
o Development of service delivery and provision models to best support client care outcomes
You will also have:
* Scheduled clinical admin time weekly
* Hybrid flexibility (WFH admin days respected and supported)
* Autonomy to structure your leadership workflow sustainably
About the Role
As Clinical Lead / Team Leader, you will:
* Lead and mentor a team of up to 5 clinicians through structured supervision and mentoring
* Guide clinical reasoning and service quality
* Support service development and internal systems
* Maintain a balanced caseload of neurodivergent children, teens and/or adults
* Contribute to practice growth in a sustainable, values-led way
* Shape the clinical culture and direction of Joyful Journey OT
This Role Is Best Suited To You If You…
* Have 5+ years paediatric OT experience (senior-level preferred)
* Have experience supervising, mentoring or formally leading clinicians
* Are confident making decisions and holding clinical boundaries
* Enjoy mentoring and developing others
* Want meaningful leadership responsibility with structural support

* Are organised, systems-minded and proactive
* Desire for your voice to genuinely influence how a service operates
