Sales - catering equipment & projects manager

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Equipment Sales Manager with Project management skills who is self-motivated and driven to succeed. A strong knowledge of the Hospitality and Catering Equipment is essential as is your existing network and business relationships to develop business opportunities in Far North Queensland.

Key Accountabilities

* Achieving the quarterly Sales & Gross Profit (GP) budget
* Planning and executing equipment sales with all members of the Sales teams to achieve Sales & GP budgets
* Providing solution based equipment options to customers
* Staying abreast of new products and maintaining strong relationships with equipment Suppliers
* Evaluating projects for commercial viability, preparation of quotes and site visits
* Providing Territory Sales team members with equipment information and advice
* Attending supplier training as required and represent Reward and its offering to the market at exhibitions and displays
* Attending meetings and presenting project proposals
* Liaising with architects, trades and other contractors to ensure all projects and equipment sales are installed, carried out to meet customer and legislated requirements
* Presenting Reward Hospitality's product brands and exclusive product ranges at every opportunity
* Participating in all national sanctioned sales promotions and achieving positive growth

Essential Requirements

* Demonstrated experience and competence gained in a Sales role preferably within the wholesale or retail industry
* Strong technical knowledge of hospitality & catering equipment – small to large items
* Demonstrated experience in Project management (kitchens, bars, dining rooms etc)
* Knowledge and skilled in competitive pricing and providing winning solutions and excellence in customer service
* Experience and capability of reviewing and analysing complex technical information
* Ability to provide customers and Sales Team members with technical advice to suit requirements on catering equipment layouts
* A pro-active team member, able and willing to take initiative, accept accountability and act with a sense of urgency
* The ability to close the deal and follow through until completion and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills and strength in building strong customer relationships/loyalty
* Experienced and confident presentation skills – at all levels (one-to-one or boardroom)
* Customer Service orientation and track record of building strong relationships/loyalty with customers and suppliers
* Sound understanding and compliance with legislated and Company requirements relating to Hospitality and Catering Projects – Accounts Procedures, WHS and Ethical Conduct standards
* Strong presentation skills and the ability to network.
* Have strong time management and organisational skills - to meet deadlines and manage time frames for sales reports, quotes, tenders, appointments etc.
* A current Driver's License, a solid driving history
* Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable Skills

* Knowledge of the hospitality & catering industry
* Experience using Pronto software or similar system for quoting and sales orders.
