Your new role
You will play a key role in supporting financial, statutory and compliance obligations within a high‐governance environment, working hands‐on across core financial accounting activities while providing meaningful insights to support strategic decision‐making and senior leadership reporting.
* End‐to‐end involvement in month‐end close, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and management reporting.
* Preparation of annual financial statements and coordination of audit requirements
* Ownership of key accounting areas including fixed assets, capital and intangible assets, derivatives and equity contributions
* Support for tax and regulatory compliance (income tax, BAS, FBT and payroll tax) in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors
* Assessment of new and emerging accounting standards and their business impact
* Contribution to strengthening internal controls, driving process improvements and supporting financial system enhancements
What you'll need to succeed
You'll bring strong financial accounting experience within a high‐governance or regulated environment, with a solid understanding of IFRS, Australian Accounting Standards and tax obligations. You'll be comfortable working with complex financial information and engaging with stakeholders across the business.
Key requirements include:
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Economics
* CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards)
* Experience across month‐end processes and financial reporting
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Advanced Excel capability, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance experience considered an advantage.
