Level 2 IT Support Technician - Regional QLD (Mining Site)
Your new company
You'll be joining a well‑established mining operation with multiple sites across regional Queensland. The organisation is known for its strong safety culture, supportive environment, and close collaboration between operational and technology teams. This particular site is smaller and low‑key, making it an ideal environment for onboarding, development, and gaining exposure to a wide range of onsite technologies.
Your new role
As the Level 1/2 IT Support Technician, you'll be the primary onsite contact for all technology support needs. You'll provide hands‑on desktop support across both office and control room environments, respond to IT incidents, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues.
You'll be working closely with onsite operational personnel, technology teams across nearby sites, and the remote support teams to keep systems operating smoothly. This role supports approximately 30 users onsite and also involves liaising with contractors who utilise their own devices.
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in Level 1/2 desktop or onsite IT support
* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work autonomously
* Confident communication skills and a proactive approach to customer support
* Experience with or exposure to:
o ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
o Microsoft 365
o Azure
o Intune (device management)
Mining or heavy industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
