Our client prides themselves on utilising premium, local ingredients and advanced technology, and they need a procurement expert who is just as passionate about quality and operational excellence as they are.
You won't just be managing a department, you'll be shaping the operational plan for the entire facility. This role is about more than just sourcing, it's about directional leadership, high-level negotiation, and ensuring high-quality inputs required to stay ahead of the curve.
You'll bring at least five years of procurement experience to the table, ideally with a solid background in warehouse or manufacturing environments. Your ability to navigate complex contracts while coaching a team to success will be essential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Strategic Sourcing: Developing and maintaining a robust supply framework for all raw materials, ensuring a perfect balance between cost-efficiency and ingredient integrity
* Contract Management: Taking the lead on short and long-term strategic contracts to safeguard the site's manufacturing needs
* Leadership & Coaching: Mentoring the procurement team and fostering a high-performance culture across the broader site
* Stakeholder Alignment: Working hand-in-hand with R&D, Quality, and Production to ensure every department is synced and supply needs are met
* Inventory Mastery: Managing Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory cycles to keep production humming without the risk of shortages or oversupply
* Market Intelligence: Monitoring commodity indices and price movements to proactively manage the site's operational budget
* Supply Chain Resilience: Establishing proactive tracking and reporting systems with vendors to mitigate delays caused by weather, logistics, or breakdowns
* Continuous Improvement: Identifying and delivering cost-reduction initiatives without ever compromising on the group's strict safety or quality guidelines
