As the Assistant Manager, you'll provide vital support to the Business Manager, using your industry expertise to drive sales, streamline daily operations, and ensure trade customers receive knowledgeable, efficient service.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Brendale, QLD.
Your responsibilities:
* Support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, staff coordination, and branch performance.
* Drive trade counter sales while delivering expert service to electricians and contractors.
* Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve profitability and streamline procedures.
* Manage stock control, supplier relationships, and ensure WHS compliance.
* Lead, train, and mentor internal staff to support a high-performing team culture.
* Troubleshoot basic system issues and liaise with Head Office as required.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Electrical Wholesale Knowledge: Previous experience in trade counter sales or electrical product supply.
* Leadership Capability: Comfortable managing staff, mentoring others, and stepping up in the manager's absence.
* Sales Drive: Confident engaging with trade customers and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
* Reliable & Hands-On: Proactive, dependable, and ready to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
* Career Focused: Looking to grow into a long-term leadership role within a national business.
* Working rights: Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand. (Sponsorship is not offered for this position)
