Home Care Worker Role Description
At Right at Home, we provide high-quality in-home care and assistance to valued clients. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We currently have positions available for reliable and passionate Home Care Workers to join our team providing care support in Bathurst, NSW.
We are seeking friendly, positive individuals who can demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. Our ideal candidate will have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful, and dependable.
The role involves assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties, as well as daily errands, companionship, and support. You will also provide support with academic, social, or recreational activities, prepare food, feed clients, and administer medications. Observing, caring for, and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client is also a key aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
* Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties
* Assist clients with daily errands, companionship, and support
* Provide support with academic, social, or recreational activities
* Prepare food, feed clients, and administer medications
* Observe, care for, and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent (essential)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges
* National Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
* NSW Working with Children Check
* Drivers Licence
* First Aid
* CPR Certificate (Valid within last 12 months)
