Category/Product Marketing Manager - Commercial will be based in Sydney for a permanent contract.
As the Category Marketing Manager – Commercial
You will manage a major product category focused on protection devices and low‐voltage enclosures, delivering differentiated and customised solutions for the commercial market. You will report to the National Marketing Manager and play a key role within our proactive marketing and sales team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Act as the subject matter expert for your product category, overseeing life cycle management, demand planning, technical support, and quality management.
* Identify growth opportunities, gain deep insights into customer needs and market gaps to develop a true value proposition and lead generation programs.
* Conduct fieldwork to gather and analyse data, profile customers, identify trends and understand competitive offerings.
* Engage with Commercial Electrical Contractors to drive growth opportunities.
* Collaborate with sales teams, manufacturing and assembly divisions in Australia, and senior leaders locally and internationally to drive business outcomes.
A significant aspect of your role will be developing the product offering for the market. This includes working closely with engineers, overseas product managers and manufacturing sites on product development, compliance, pricing and go‐to‐market strategies. You will also attend industry events, develop training tools and marketing materials, and ensure products meet Australian regulatory standards.

* Competitor analysis, reporting and trend identification.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
* Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business or engineering (preferred).
* Proven experience in product management, sales or business development.
* A background in commercial building projects, with a strong understanding of technical products and commercial project solutions.
* Previous experience in the building, electrical, engineering or industrial sectors with exposure to sales, marketing and product management.
* Experience in commercial construction or project‐based industries.
* Knowledge of the low‐voltage electrical industry or the ability to quickly acquire technical product and industry knowledge.
* Familiarity with Australian and international standards, industry competitors and channel to market.
* Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, negotiation and influencing abilities.
* Proactive, energetic and customer‐focused attitude, with strong multi‐tasking and project‐management capabilities.
