David Jones exists to inspire Like No Other. As the Sales & Service Manager, you will demonstrate customer obsession and passion for retail by creating an in-store experience Like No Other and deliver a customer-centric workplace to maximise sales and service results.
You will be a dedicated people leader, coach the team to provide expert knowledge and seamless solutions, and establish strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
Responsibilities
Lead by example by delivering on service principles, engaging with customers, driving sales, and building a loyal customer base.
Coach and mentor the team to provide expert knowledge and seamless solutions.
Be visibly present on the selling floor, leading by example and inspiring the team to create warm connections.
Collaborate with store teams and build solid relationships with stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for improvement while being commercially aware.
Work with VM and Logistics teams to ensure stock is floor-ready within required timeframes.
Identify opportunities for feedback to the Merchandise team.
Maintain stock loss awareness and implement proactive measures with sell and support teams.
Demonstrate strong coaching skills and experience leading teams to achieve results.
Display a passion for retail and a commitment to great customer service.
Provide innovative, customer-focused solutions and maintain product awareness.
Motivate and lead teams to create an in-store experience Like No Other.
Utilise merchandising and selling skills with robust product knowledge.
Exhibit strong written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
Be flexible and adaptable to a quick-paced and evolving environment.
