Step into a role where compassion meets clinical excellence. At NBMLHD, were seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Gastrointestinal (GIT) Cancer Care Centre team. You will be responsible for improving the continuity of care; identifying issues early and performing psychosocial assessments to mitigate hospital avoidance in GIT patients. You will work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to ensure that your patients receive the best care possible.

What you will bring to the role

1. Current registration with AHPRA Division 1 Registered Nurse.
2. Post-registration qualifications in Cancer Nursing and at least 3 years experience working in Oncology, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
3. Commitment to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patients outcomes as part of a team.
4. Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice.
5. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers, and a diverse range of health care providers.
6. Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision maintaining involvement within the wider multidisciplinary team.
