We have an enticing Tradesperson Electrical Leading Hand position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a 10-year mine life.
Here's what awaits you:
* Provide hands‐on daily leadership to a skilled team of electricians, coordinating and supervising the safe and efficient completion of scheduled preventative maintenance, planned upgrades, and urgent breakdown repairs on critical fixed plant equipment (such as mills, crushers, conveyors, pumps, and HV/LV systems).
* Execute the work in accordance with the schedule, scope, quality standards and within agreed timeframes; record relevant job information during execution to later capture in Pronto; return equipment to fit‐for‐use condition after work completion.
* Escalate issues to the Kanowna Belle Electrical Supervisor in a timely manner; raise new work requests with sufficient scoping information, drawings and photos to allow effective planning.
* Raise continuous improvement work requests for corrections to maintenance plans and supporting documents; assume duties during shutdown execution as directed.
* Ensure compliance with the Work Health & Safety Act, the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations, the Electricity Industry Act and the Australian Standard for Maintenance of Electrical Switchgear; demonstrate a proactive safety approach in line with Northern Star standards.
* Contribute to a team culture aligned with the Kanowna Belle vision, goals and operating principles; communicate effectively with all levels and operate in accordance with the Company's stakeholder policy.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
* Experience in the mining industry, minimum 2 years; ability to act as step‐up for the Electrical Supervisor on an as‐required basis.
* Experience with high voltage (HV) systems, switchgear, motor controls, instrumentation, PLCs/automation and pneumatic systems.
* Completion of the risk management process RIIRIS402E or contribution to WHS risk management BSBWHS414; implementation and monitoring of WHS policies BSBWHS411.
* Electrical Supervisor (APPT‐STAT) competence; sound understanding of fixed plant maintenance principles.
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Pronto Xi.
* Good communication skills, flexibility to adapt to improved asset management procedures and practices.
Qualifications
* Electrical trade qualification.
* Current Western Australian A Grade electrical licence.
* Current C‐class Western Australian driver's licence.
* Low voltage rescue UETTDRRF06, CPR HLTAID009, statutory supervisor (S26).
Desirable qualifications
* Entry & work in confined spaces RIIWHS202, HRWL – EWP [WP], forklift [LF], rigging basic [RB], first aid HLTAID011.
* Work safely at heights RIIWHS204 and high voltage switching operations certificate.
