Employer Bio
This values‐led organisation operates with a professional board and an executive team committed to strong governance, clarity and long‐term stewardship. With increasing complexity at board level, the organisation is investing in high‐quality executive support to ensure decision‐making, governance processes and stakeholder engagement are handled with precision and discretion. The environment suits someone who enjoys proximity to leadership, understands the rhythms of boards, and takes pride in enabling others to perform at their best.
The Job
This is a Senior Executive Assistant role providing high‐level support to the Board and selected members of the executive team.
The position sits at the centre of governance operations, responsible for board administration, meeting coordination, confidential correspondence and executive‐level support. It requires maturity, judgement and an ability to manage competing priorities calmly and professionally.
Responsibilities
* End‐to‐end coordination of board and committee meetings
* Preparation and distribution of board papers and agendas
* Minute taking and follow‐up of actions
* Executive diary management and scheduling
* Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
* Liaison with board members, executives and external stakeholders
* Supporting governance processes and compliance requirements
* Providing ad hoc executive support as required
Culture Snapshot
The culture is respectful, composed and professional. People are held to high standards, but the environment is supportive rather than pressurised. There is a strong appreciation for discretion, reliability and calm competence. You will be valued for your judgement as much as your output.
Benefits On Offer
If you are an experienced Executive Assistant who enjoys working at board level and being trusted with meaningful responsibility, this role offers depth and visibility. It is not a stepping‐stone role. It is designed for someone who sees executive support as a profession, not a pathway out of it. In addition to a competitive salary, the organisation offers flexibility where appropriate, a stable leadership environment, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced board members and senior executives.
Skills Required
You will bring substantial experience supporting senior leaders or boards within a structured environment. You will have:
* Proven experience as an Executive Assistant at senior or board level
* Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence handling sensitive information
* The ability to anticipate needs and manage complexity
* A calm, composed and professional presence
Experience in governance‐heavy environments is highly regarded.
